I Belong To Wonderland, I am blessed and honoured… I was not expecting to be accepting awards, I wanted to share and inspire… It brings tears to my eyes that you (and other readers) recognise that, that you read my blog and comment, showing constant support. I never expected to make new friends. Even if it is through the keyboard, it is amazing to me…
I will keep shining on, sending bright light everywhere it is welcomed. Thank you again.
p.s. I’m sorry I didn’t follow the rules but I have no new blogs I am reading, when I will have more than two or three I will update this.
I keep a lot of cute stuff like this and tickets from events and concerts I’ve been on. I love to keep them so every now and then I can go trough them and go “awwwww” because I forget what I’ve kept and what had survived the moving process. 😀
This is a toy I got from the doctor on my first visit to the dentist. For being brave. 😀 This is my “courage Dino”.
Love fest is all around in the form of valentine. It is like God has commanded his angels to throw bit of a love portion around. Few drops of pink liquid called love on this world and ho! For a while, no stress, no animosity and no jealousy would be entertained till love fest is over and after that J you humans can go back to your normal negative walls abusing my favorite word called love for filling up your physical wants. Funny isn’t it? Why we cannot carry on with this feeling of being loved or being in love all the time.
For me, love is different. I see loads of lonely souls around, some are single and some are married but they are lonely somewhere and taking this Valentine’s week as the most depressive week. Singles are carving for the feeling of love whereas married are concerned…
Ahh… Valentine’s Day…. Can you feel the love?? No? Me neither. 😀
It is the most confusing holiday by my opinion. When you’re single, you just straight up hate it. You diss about it and go on and on of how stupid it is. When you are in a relationship, it depends. I think Valentine’s Day puts a LOT of pressure on new couples… It feels like you just started dating and then one of you has a birthday and the other is just… What do I get? Do I buy anything at all? What does she/he even like? And so on… It is stupid for the other part too, trust me. I’m talking from my own experience. It makes it even harder that the Valentine’s Day is so UNORIGINAL that it hurts. It can be original if you want it to be, but we are bombarded with roses and flowers (Which btw. what? It’s still winter…) and teddy bears, and candy, and chocolate boxes… IT FEELS LIKE A LIFE IN A GIANT RED COMMERCIAL.
If you are in a long relationship or marriage, Valentine’s Day can be a nice reminder to stop and appreciate what you have and show affection for each other by spending some quality time together.
“…It feels strange to be explicitly against a day celebrating love and commitment.”
That is true. We don’t like how it’s made into a PR form of “BUY=LOVE”. But how do we show attention and love for our loved ones? There are many ways, and some of them are buying them stuff that will make them happy. It’s a paradox.
Maybe we should just start thinking of a Valentine’s Day as a day in year when we show gratitude for having the people we love in our lives (partner, family, friends…) and show them that they mean something to us. That we love them. 🙂
I didn’t want to write a letter to my bf because – and yes I do get like this – I am afraid that if I put our love on spotlight it will get shy and run. Hahahahah, I know it doesn’t make much sense, but I never felt like this and I don’t like to talk about it so I don’t jinx it. 😀
So, he did something amazing. I asked him to write something and he agreed! I was very surprised because he is a man of doing not talking and esspecially not writing. 😀 But he did it, and it is needless to say I was touched and happy. I love you. ❤

I wanted to do a video-marathon today of some of the videos I have watched recently. Thank you Spiritbath and thank you internet. There are good, kind and amazing people on this planet we call our own, and they (we) are trying to make a positive change and think with their own head. I love it! I hope you will find something for you… 🙂
I want to inspire you, make you happy, make you smile and just boost your mood. I hope I can. 😀 I chose famous Charlie Chaplin’s speech for featured video because it is the king and queen of inspiration. It is the main thought of what the people on other videos are showing and trying to achieve.
Although technically it is no longer February 11th (it’s 1 am here) this cause is worthy of my attention and involvement! I hope yours too. 😉
We blog and write and share pictures, and we have Facebook with more pictures, and check-ins, Twitter with “write what you had for lunch under so and so caracters”, YouTube, G+, Gmail… Now G+ is trying to infiltrate into YouTube accounts asking for more and more and more information. What do I prefer? Did I like that video? And then YouTube ASKS me: “Why don’t you want to use your full name as your account name?” Whaaat?! I have to justify my decision of protecting my privacy – which is poorly protected to begin with by the same platforms I described. Sometimes it is like our whole life is online. The thought of someone using information about me, how I look, where I go, with who I spend my time for their agenda is creepy.
Sharing our experience here in our blogging community is a personal thing to me. I know, they say: “What you don’t want to see anywhere else do not post online.” Yes, but can I do that? Is that possible? When everywhere I want to log in I have to provide my sex, my date, month and year of birth, my e-mail and sometimes even my mobile phone and picture. Really? Do you want a blood sample also? So, to function in this online, wi-fi, buzzing society we HAVE to give information. Private information. And that is not to be played with, and that is not to be manipulated with.
We have enough problem already deciding what goes “on” and what doesn’t, having sites like Facebook giving us suggestions of “what we might like”, we don’t need to have the spying eye over us. Or we could be shopping something on e-bay and it will go, you liked this, you bought this, you are organising a protest, you are making a bomb! I thought of a funny scene in a movie Yes Man stared by Jim Carrey when he starts buying different stuff online and learning languages because his moto is “saying yes” just to be accused of being a terrorist. I wish I can find that clip… 😀
I am listening to the song called “All I do is win” and it has a lot of woooo, so… It’s catchy hahaha 😀
I have been really button – inspired, I have a few amazing ideas (in my head) for DIY projects and it makes me happy when everything feels right for me to work on them. And then share. 🙂
I had few of back sides to earrings and a ring with a rose glued on it from a friend who kindly gave me a bag of material for my DIYs. Thank you!
So, I removed the rose ( that was hard but I’ve promised her that I will include her in my future DIYs ) and also carefully removed the zircons from back side of earrings – I do not know how that is called.
I have been searching for cute and unusual buttons around the house and now I see I will have to go shopping, since none of them match one of my project. This pair – ring and earrings was first, just to see how it will go… I wanted a red ring, really red and big. So, I found transparent button and two smaller ones, also transparent. Perfect!
Steps are so easy… I glued buttons to the back, then added two layers of red nail polish. In the end I added small decorations used for nails. 😀 I love it! Not only do I have the red ring I wanted, I can remove the color when I don’t like it anymore and color the ring and/or the earrings into… I don’t know… blue! Weee… Or should I say wooooooo hahahah 😀
I have recently heard about the term “cute aggression” when something is so cute that you just wanna hold it…. a bit to tightly. Hahahahaha… Good thing my cat is alive today because she was the cutest kitten ever! Ok, maybe not ever, but look at that. She can barely stand without falling. And so fluffy. And soft and look at that white chin. Ahhhh *Cute aggression*
When I started this blog, awards were not even in my dreams… To be honest, I didn’t know much about WordPress and I was learning how to surf my way in this platform. (I still do.) I wasn’t aware of the awards. Later, I saw some of the bloggers were getting them, but again, it slipped from my thoughts. And then in a difference of few days, I get two. Second from Amelia from Mungai and the Goa Constrictor. THANK YOU so much. ☺ I am really happy that I inspired you, intrigued you and made you smile, because that is the reason why I’ve started blogging. If I didn’t have the desire that other people read my posts, it would be a journal. 😀
Since I wrote about seven amaaaazing blogs yesterday, I feel kinda silly to write about another ones today, so I’ll skip that rule and connect the two awards. You should check out the blogs I wrote about though. They are great. 🙂
So, I’m on to the rule of 7. Seven things about me. It was fun thinking about what 7 things I want to share today. Of we go…
SEVEN THINGS ABOUT ME YOU WISH YOU KNEW AND NOW YOU WILL:
1. I am a liar. I’ve changed my photo to me, yes, but I’ve cut my hair very similar to Beyoncé’s new haircut – but before Beyoncé. (!) So I think the number one thing is that Beyoncé is copying me. 😉 I am not blond, just to clear that out.
2. I am a leftie. Left-handed. You have probably already heard that people who write with left hand are more creative but lets see what else internet has to say about this:
Approximately 8–15% of the world’s population is left-handed.
Lefties seem to be over represented among geniuses. According to research done at St. Lawrence University in New York, there were more left-handed people with IQs over 140 than right-handed people. Considering that Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, and Benjamin Franklin were all lefties, it is hard to disagree with history.
Well, I won’t disagree. 😀 Also, I just found out that there is an International Left Handers’ Day celebrated on August 13… I don’t know where I have been living…
Although some cultures had a positive view of left-handers many considered them outcasts. There are many parts of the world where children are punished in school for using their left hand.
– The Chive
That is sad 😦 And true for generation before me.
3. I am allergic to mosquitoes. – Hence the name of the blog. I was more allergic as a child and had bigger reactions but they are still my least favorite bug. Them and earwigs. Brrrrrrrrr. No picture here.
4. I am a firm believer that what you put out in the universe comes back. If you want to attract positive things, they will come, if you open yourself for a thing you want, it will come. Maybe not always and maybe not in a form you were expecting. I have been proven right on this so many times…
5. My favorite candy is Ferrero Rocher… Oh…my…Gosh…. It is just… When I get it as a present, I don’t eat it. I cherish it. I eat one every few days, fully enjoying the taste. I have made my birthday wish clear, I want Ferrero cake.
6. I have rollerblades that don’t have a brake and I ride on them for years. And for years I have been escaping pretty unsafe situations. Now I look back and laugh at them but some of them could end up in a hospital, and once I was gambling with getting hit by a car. And still I haven’t bought brakes.
7. I didn’t know what to write for number seven so I asked my sister. She said: “You are wearing a poncho.” Yes I am. And I wear it at home AND outside. Go poncho!
