A surprise

It was very close to midnight.

It was about 360th night.

All the lights from streets and stores

Shun inside her crystal globes

It was cold and festive like year before,

A smell so dear inside her core…

Sausages, cabbage, cookies and all the delicious bunch.

This year same as always, the question,

Why did she ate that MUCH?

And as she walked away from the feast,

Leaving decorated city and all his hungry beasts,

Everyone in the tram noticed something

She stay silent, she has not confessed

A crime was not to be avoided

She run outside, didn’t own her part

She escaped from admitting a fart.

Prompt.

  1. Lol, this is a funny Christmas poem šŸ˜€ When there is food, why not eat and be happy…enjoy and live life. Lovely to see you here again. It has been quite a while, Iva šŸ™‚ Hope you have been doing well..if not, at least just getting by. Enjoy the holiday season and best wishes for the New Year ā¤

      1. I would like to wish you all the best in 2018 šŸ™‚ And may you find your true self with less words and more meaning ā¤ (Not that you use to many words, I hope you are getting what I'm trying to say)

      2. That is SO true. I do use too many words. I always wanted to write less but somehow I went the opposite way and writing longer posts, lol šŸ™‚ Finding meaning is more important, and I also hope you find lots of that too in 2018 ā¤

      3. Thank you šŸ˜ŠšŸ˜—
I find it hard to use complex words with genuinity in English, maybe I come across as just simple… It is my knowledge of a language that’s holding me back of being over-complicated. Which I tend to make things šŸ˜€ Maybe it is better to be somewhat limited to just cut my writing to the chase? I don’t know heh
