My baby blog in the big world ❤

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Be the Change.”

Year and a half ago I didn’t even think about having and actively writing a blog. It just happened. Literary. Just. Happened. Like it is so natural to suddenly have one, like a next step on a stairway, like a sun rising, like eating a third cookie when you are hungry and said you’re gonna have just one. 😉

So natural. It really is. It feels so natural for me to have this blog like it was never otherwise. (I can make a commercial out of this.)

I am saying a lot that a plant needs a time to grow, and change I am going through no matter how frustrating it gets from time to time, can not be forced or pushed forward. It has to go like a plant, in its own pace. I can water it and take care of it, but I can’t make it grow faster. That’s how I feel about this blog. It is in the right place at the right time. I have no idea where all of this writing will lead me, but I don’t stress about it. I know at first I wanted to inspire a lot of people, I wanted to reach out and try hard to share my new found inspiration and love for life. Now, I have learned a lot of things. I am learning all the time. About me, about others, about society… I have learned that it does not take a lot to reach out, that I don’t have to “try hard”. I can just BE. I found out that I am so happy when I receive a comment like “You made my day.” or “You inspired me.” from just one person, whom I know or whom I never met.

I still want to share and inspire. I see it like a wave of love and positive energy going and hugging the entire Globe. When I see my blog is read in parts of the world I don’t know how to pronounce it makes me proud and humble at the same time. I had chances to “go more aggressive” but I really don’t want GMO in my plant I am nurturing here. I hope you understand that and that it doesn’t sound cheesy. Heck, I don’t care if it sound cheesy, I love you for every amazing comment you leave here. You are awesome. We should like, I don’t know… Blog. 😉 ❤

BTW!

I HAVE to share with you that somewhere in the process of my country crossing from 2014 to 2015 I woke up in 2015, logged on to see my wish came true. 500 of you! ❤ I felt so good! So blessed!

Just two more (wo)men, captain!

She sits behind the screen

She is a bit nervous from within

Daily Prompt is not up yet!

She feels she is starting to sweat

Why today of all possible days,

They keep me in this uncomfortable place?

Because you see, she has a wish

She didn’t write Santa, or make a New Year’s list

Her wish is tangled to her WordPress blog

She wants to ask all of you to come along 🙂

.

.

Only a few dear readers are missed

To make this wish come true from her only list

To enter a New Year with a round number

500th follower will make her crumble

If it happens it will be amazing

A number she hasn’t thought of in her wildest dreams

Is so close now, as it seems.

And I am so grateful for each one of you

Happy New Year to you too!

There was my luck, no Prompt yesterday. 😀 But still, some awesome people followed me and now… It’s down to TWO PEOPLE! Weeeheeeee haha…

Today it’s about when we last shed tears of anything (joy pain, sadness) I might shed one or two today if my wish comes true. ❤

I like bubbles.

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “All Grown Up.”

That is kinda my answer.

I wanted to be grown up SO BAD when I was younger. In my family “Stop acting like a child” is an insult. So, I tried and tried and tried. I was so serious – grown ups always are. I worked hard on what I thought was my vision of adult life. I wanted the ticket into that grown up world very much… Too much. I neglected myself. I didn’t listen to my heart. I didn’t pay attention to my soul, to my feelings. I denied myself freedom of living, of choices, of being, of emotions. I took it all away.

But now in the past few years… I’m bringing it back. And I am such a child. I love that child and that sentence is not anymore an insult to me. I want to remain a child in heart forever. In awe, curious, emotional, creative. I love to swing on swings. I love to hug trees. I love to play games and I am a very sour loser. I absolutely LOVE fireworks. I love balloons and the term of love is not an over statement here. I love animals and playing with them. I am happy when it snows (We had first snow yesterday and a lot of it. ❤ ). I love to sled and run around in snow just to fall on that soft surface. Get red cheeks and build a snowman. I love ice skating. When no one was looking yesterday, I took a bite of snow. It wasn’t yellow, don’t worry. 😀 I did it when I was returning from voting for the president of Croatia. Have I covered both now? Adult and child? Maybe… All I know is that being without that child is awful and boring. Now, sometimes not consciously, I tend to search people who have that child in them and are not ashamed to show it, no matter the age. Their company feels so good. They fill me with joy as I do to them. ❤

Ohhhh, a box. For me?

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Mystery Box.”

First of all, if I found a box next to my bed with “open if you dare” on it, I would freak out a bit over the fact that someone left a box with English sentence on it and maybe thinking I woke up in a parallel universe where we speak English in Croatia. 😉

If it would say “Otvori ako se usudiš” I would probably be less worried. XD

And of course I would open it, what kind of question is that?! A beautifully wrapped box? With a “dare” on it? I am WAY to curious not to open it…

What’s inside?

Now that’s a dare for you to guess. 🙂

The holidays… you don’t have to “hate it or love it”, you can adjust it to YOU

Do you love Christmas? Or Christmas season?

I used to LOVE it, then hate it, like really hate it… And now in the past few years I love it once again.

So, I was at both ends. 😉

a-ha-ha-cat-christmas-funny-wreck-the-tree

Many people don’t like Christmas music we are bombarded from the end of November. (For the love of God, that’s not even in December!) Of course we don’t like it, it’s TOO MUCH. So, guess what? I don’t listen to radio. I just don’t. I have freedom of actions that helps me turn off the radio. I turn it on or go on Christmas playlist when I feel like it, most likely on Christmas Eve.

On certain places I can’t avoid it that’s for sure. But I tend to go shopping in smaller stores so I am not stuck there for an hour listening to “Jingle Bells” 20 times. XD

Other things are decorations. We are lucky, here in Zagreb, government does not light the street decorations until December 1st. And it’s lovely to see some lights and stars and stuff you don’t get to see all year while the weather is so cold it is promising snow. 🙂

The one thing that makes me love this part of year is the fact you can UNLEASH your inner creative self. 💡

And for a creative bundle of ideas like me, that’s awesome! 🙂 Pull out your colored papers, scissors, glue, all sorts of paint, candles, sprays…. Go nuts with it! You can make your own decorations, you can make presents for other people, you can just plain entertain yourself….For Do It Yourself or DIY this is an awesome part of year. 🙂

I already made some stuff (for Christmas and non-related) and since I am so behind in presenting it here, I will do a different post. With all the pictures, I promise 😀

Lesson in Croatian ;)

This was in my mind for a few days I couldn’t write, but I didn’t thought I would “come out” with it yet… But then I read today’s Prompt and decided… why not?

One of the reasons I love English is that most OF. IT. HAS. A. LOT. OF. SHORT. WORDS.

On the contrary to Croatian where most of it is kinda… longer.

Example A:

I want to buy new sink. The old one is rusty.

Željela bih kupiti novi umivaonik. Stari je zahrđao.

Example B:

Can you do this now?

Možeš li to napraviti sada?

You see.. Longer words. That makes rapping in Croatian a bit tricky haha 😉 But we are far from some languages like German who have really complex words and grammar.

I don’t think Croatian is easy to learn, but again no language is, unless you are a baby – they seem to pick up on these things quite fast. 😉 Croatian grammar has few advantages compared to English; we don’t have to use “a” or “the” for anything, we don’t have double letters anywhere and most important – we have only one pronunciation for one letter. A is always read as “ah” while in English sometimes is “ah” other times is “a” and sometimes is silent. E is here always “eh” and so on. So, when you learn the alphabet – that’s it. No other ways to read.

701px-Croatia_in_Europe.svg
Hi! There I am, in a shape of a flying bird. 😉

What is the harder part? Well… I’d say the grammar of our verbs is pretty complex. You have for e. “love” and you say I love, you love, they love, I have loved, I will love…. Love does not change. In Croatian it is by the order I have mentioned in the previous sentence – volim, voliš, oni vole, ja sam voljela, voljet ću… The verb itself changes.

Also you may noticed the little fella’ “š” up there. We don’t have y, q or w but we have this happy bunch; č, ć, đ, dž, š. I wish I can explain the difference between “č” and “ć”, but you just really have to hear it. We call the first one hard Č and the other soft Ć. It is the same sound, but in English there is only soft Ć – equivalent to “ch”

The same story goes with “dž” and “đ”. First one is hard, and other is soft. In English there is only “đ” and it is first part of the word jam. That’s the example I could think of. “Š” although it looks scary is just “sh”.

I have to have Croatian grammar in my pinky toe because my profession demands that. If you liked this I can make more. I promise to keep them interesting. I haven’t said anything yet about curse words – something we teach foreigners before they even know how to say hello or two letters acting as one – nj i lj.

The truth is that it is good to know a bit of Croatian because you will be understood in 6 countries (Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, FYR Macedonia). 🙂

….let us all unite!

It’s good from once in a while to listen to this again. It is so brilliant.

I love to share advice and stuff that helped me and that inspire me…that is actually the constant flow in this blog of mine, whatever I write about. I love to share positive thoughts, initiatives and creating a life you actually love to live. I said a couple of times that I aspire to inspire. That is true.

I wish you an awesome day. 🙂

A golden kid (key?)

This Daily Prompt is so weird because I had a vision of a golden key. Not the kind of vision when you see something and you realise you have superpowers, but the kind of  vision when you do a meditation and are asked to imagine this and that and later asked how did the stuff look like. For fun and games, and for analyzing your answers. That kind of vision.

I saw a gold key. Big, old, decorated. Like from a time long ago. I said, “It looks like it opens a big door.”

So, important key. Funny thing was that in this meditation/game, key represented future children or child. 😀 My kiddo, if I decide to have one, will be golden.

Speaking of kids, my friends have them. Ok, they have one, but still. Two different couples. I was writing about baby Laura the day she was born and the day I opened my Facebook page which is still under construction and soon to be like I like it. Get prepared to be reminded about it, I post videos and photos there, not just posts.

Laura is super cute big cheeks ball of awwwww. She is 2 and a half months old and already showing a personality. I made DIY stuff for her and tutorial will be here. Pinky promise.

Aaanyway, about kids. I know that every mother gets judged (why is that btw?) but I wonder what is the “most right” way to raise a kid? I am all up for discipline but I think yelling at a kid when he/she hasn’t done anything wrong and threatening the kid with things they don’t like if they don’t do something is just plain mean. Honestly, it makes me physically sick in my stomach. Also, saying stuff like “I don’t like you” when a kid asks if the parent can stay with them until they fall asleep. I had to control myself not to speak up. What do you think? Am I too idealistic and people just don’t have enough energy or they have bad days and frustrating days and they just can’t deal with the kid? What do you think about this “methods”? I think I will get into a fight with her and him next time I see them practicing this nonsense on a three year old. 😡

p.s. If you have no “eclectic” relatives, does that means you’re it? XD

p.p.s. WP is messing with this post and me, grrrrr. I hope it is now showing.

Sleeping bee

Have you ever seen a working bee sleeping? Well you have now! 🙂

Fotor1110224320

I went outside on the balcony one day this summer at my bf place. First I didn’t notice anything, but something caught my eye. I thought it was some kind of insect, because I have never seen a bee so still. My bf neighbor has beehives and he collects honey, so it’s not strange to see them there. It was raining and she hid under the column. She was sleeping (Don’t worry I asked her is she just resting, she did not answer – so she was in fact sleeping, and someone who saw me taking close-ups of a bee probably thinks I’m crazy. So, lets move on… 🙂 )

This photo has a deeper meaning than just what you see. Later, I found out that it was raining during both of the periods bees collect honey (You remember how I was complaining about the constant rain? Well, it turns out I was complaining for the nature! 😉 ) So, the bees couldn’t collect honey from the flowers, and there wasn’t enough flowers to begin with with no sunlight most of the time. The result is that this year we have drastically little amounts of honey in the market – which means that the honey is very expensive and we have to import, and people who are in the business with beehives and selling honey had to make major cuts to achieve the possibility to sell honey AND to leave enough for the bees to survive the winter. Turns out, my complaining about the rain – I was complaining for the economy AND for the people also!!

So… Next time I complain here a lot about something… I advise EVERYONE to listen.

p.s Did anyone notice the WP changes? I am a bit lost….

p.p.s. Have you noticed the change in my photos? wink wink 🙂
