“No I’m not lucky I’m blessed, YES!”

“Heavy weight champion me

But I could do it all alone – we”

You don’t have to be like ❓ , it’s me, you know it’s a song… 😉

When I pause in that moment to come up with a title and turn to my mind… I know what I’m gonna find. It is quite handy to have stored lyrics for every occasion haha…

I am thankful, very much! I have been awarded again and again, but just didn’t have the enthusiasm needed to do this… I hope you forgive me, it really means a lot to me. ❤

I was looking at posts where I have been nominated and found something super interesting and amusing. I have got one award for Sisterhood of World Blogger Award, one for Very Inspiring Blogger and THREE awards for One Lovely Blog!

I guess that makes my blog…. THREE TIMES MORE LOVELY!

Bam-ts! 😀

Okidoki, now it’s time for the mentions and praising and I have no idea for what else, but I will found out in about 30 seconds.

First, Tina The Mess from The Borderline Personality humbled me with two awards in June, Very Inspiring Blogger and One Lovely Blog Award. Thank you! I hope you are fine going on better!

Mumojay from Cookie My lifestyle cooked my lifestyle up with another One Lovely Blog Award in July. THANK YOU! ❤

Vic from Shards of silence kindly presented to me another One Lovely Blog Award, and to definitely convince me that my blog is super lovely, Christina from Lifebeinggirly nominated/awarded me today. 🙂

Vic, thanks so much, I hope you didn’t choose me just because you didn’t have anyone else to give the award to (not being a guy) 😛

Christina, thanks. 🙂 I think you walk half feet of the ground and need a stone just to hold you how positive you come across.

It really makes me happy when you nominate me for whatever you want to nominate me for. I might won’t make a post about it, or follow the rules, but you’ll know you made my day… ❤

one_lovely_blog_award    one_lovely_blog_award    one_lovely_blog_award

They are cool to look at like this, right? 😀 I had to do it…

So… Now the fun part. I think I am supposed to answer 7 things about me for every one…that is too much things about me, even for your tender eyes, my dearest. I’m just gonna say (brag) what I did (saw) today.

International Space Station is circulating over Croatia from today up until August 19. And they had mentioned that it will be visible at 21 (9 pm), but I missed that. I was sad, but then I read that it will be visible again in 22:38 (10 pm) and I went on the balcony. I have pretty good view and I was determined to see it because it has been cloudy for…. years now, and today is clear sky. And then I saw it. What, the Station? Nope, the first of this years Perseid’s meteors!!! 😀 It is a yearly event, happens in mid August for Northern Hemisphere and I enjoy in it! Specially because last year I found a place without light pollution from city lights and lied down on grass looking at stars and meteors passing through… Plus; I saw the Station today too! It looks like a bright star moving very fast on the sky 😀

I love stars ans sky and you know that already. To see a meteor is exciting to me… I feel alive and special and extra small at the same time, living on this tiny planet compared to universe. If you want more info about this year’s Meteor Shower you can click here: http://www.timeanddate.com/astronomy/meteor-shower/perseid.html

And if you want to see how excited I was last year, click here 😉

Perseids Meteor Shower *make a wish…*

p.s. About nominations, I have been a slacker in reading your blogs… I know that. I will make an effort to change it! In the mean time, if anyone feels the great need to have One Lovely Blog Award, they can take it. 🙂 Just tell me you did so in the comment section.

Love ya!

200th post

200th post

I wanted to do something special to celebrate my 200th post on this little blog of mine who is not little at all in my life. What better way to do it, then with this award I have been blessed to get recently.

Like I said to the Diana who kindly gave me the Very Inspiring Blogger Award, this means a lot to me. Every award brings a smile to my heart, don’t get me wrong, but this one is very special.

I started to blog to express myself and to share that with others, to spread the positivity in every medium; writing, photography, music, videos, crafts, animals… Very soon I discovered that my blog was inspiring me and that I want to keep inspiring – myself and others. And when you got a recognition for something that is in your heart and what motivates you to blog and share…. Well, that is a pretty special moment.

Thank you. ❤

A whole neeeeew page….

A whole neeeeew page....

You have blessed me with so many awards that I wanted to make a special page thanking you. 🙂 It is official now, oh yes it is. Thank you guys (girls). ❤

Plus, Jennifer Lawrence is super appropriate because I just yesterday watched The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. And like a first sequel, I LOVED IT.

The itty bitty preview for you who haven’t watched the second part of The Hunger Games trilogy. Btw, I WATCHED the movie and still got goosebumps looking at it. XD

Starting off May with awards and randomness

It has been raining/cloudy for a few days and it feels so good. I love the rain…thunder… I love it. I love sunny wheather also, but I am so much more in a mood for rainy days, so me and nature are in sync.

Awards. Thank you for complimenting my blogging this way. 🙂

I have been thinking about nomination this time away from computer. So, it’s extra special.

Thank you Arlene from Ari’s World for this Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award and another Dragon Loyalty Award. It got me thinking and I was left blessed. You will know why soon. I have met seven amaziiiiiiing women here who have been there for me in one way or another, and continue to be there for me even though they know me only through blogging… Their support means a lot to me. ❤

(Please don’t feel offended if you aren’t on the list, I was limited with seven.)

They are in no particular order:

These are among others, my sisters in the WP family ❤ I am very grateful for connecting with them.

I have got another award from Cee Lee from Swim in the Adult Pool, The Lovely Blog Award. Since I have already got it, I thought about giving it to the few of my latest follows who have really amazed me.

They are:

peacefulblessedstar from peacefulblessedstar
tamtam012013 from Perhaps yes, perhaps no. Exactly? I don’t know.
dorothychiotti from Musings of a Horse Mum
Shayne from The Book of Shayne
Neha from forgottenmeadows

And… seven random facts about myself, me and I… 🙂

1.    My nails are perfect. Seriously. My fingernails are beautiful, they don’t break, chip and they are au naturel. I have a photo for non believers. 😉 I also don’t let anyone near them, that means I have never had a manicure, I hate someone messing with my nails. I manicure them myself and I do it magnificently!

2.    I was born with one eye closed, it didn’t open for three days and doctors were like “Whaaaaaaaaa…t?” I imagine. They thought I would have a lot of problems but although I have to wear glasses, the difference between my eyes is very small in term of diopter.

3.    I was a straight A student (we have 1-5 here) up until college. He he

4.    I hate, hate horror movies. There is NOTHING enjoyable in them for me.

5.    I’m allergic to silver. So, its gold or no sold. XD
6.    My real name is Iva, but I know you are not pronouncing it right so I go by my nickname Ivy
7.    If you ever wondered why it says Ivyon when I comment – wonder no more! It is because Ivy is on-line when she is commenting. See! And you thought it was French.

So many……………

What do you do with awards? Do you put them in separate page or just in a post?

I am grateful for them (and proud) so I like to keep them in my sidebar. But, where will I put all of this?!

Image Image Image Image

Because, when Alienora gives awards, she doesn’t just give a rose, she gives a bouquet and a crown, and a gown, and a carriage, and a prince… Ups, I got sidetracked. 😀

I told her I won’t accept this many awards, but there is no negotiation with her. 😛

She was definite in one thing, this one is passed along:

With this quote from the man who made it:

“Life is moments and we ride the bad ones knowing good ones will come again, and by doing so it helps us get through bad moments. I believe in moments, I cherish them.”—Shaun Gibson.

And a nomination of TEN chosen ones

– chosen from my very complex mechanism: who I didn’t gave award to yet and I think deserve it 🙂

Zee from Lifeconfusions

Ralph from Bluefish Way

Steve from Steve says

Joyce from Cookie My Lifestyle

Vic from Shards of silence

Diana from Part Time Monster

Anthea from Smart Stunning Searching

Cee Lee from Swiming in the Adult pool

Christy from Running on Sober

Tourmama616 on Playground who isn’t on WP very often but when she is, her posts are hilarious.

edit: and Justine from Eclecticoddsnsods as the 11th player.

Aaaaand now, thank you to dear Lydia who blogs at lydiadevadason.wordpress.com for the awesome Sunshine Award. She has inspired one of my future post and she doesn’t even know it. 😀

Well, since I have already spent a huge amount of time coming up with 10 people who haven’t been nominated, I’m gonna merge the two awards. So, if you want to, you can take both.

I always wanted to be sunshine. From the moment I saw that this kind of award exists, of course. Now, there is only one moreee (dramatic voice: one mooooreee) award my heart wants to receive. Or my ego? I’ll let them decide. And I won’t tell you. But it’s nice. And I want it. Ok!! Ok, I will tell you. 😀 It is something Lighthouse award and it has a beautiful message behind it. Like The Sunshine Award has. 🙂 So, thank you Lydia!

My highly important answers:

  1. What inspired you to start a blog? Hmmmm… I don’t know. I was discovering the world of DIY and getting into photography so I thought to myself: “I should open a blog.” Pretty soon I discovered that I want to inspire and be inspired and that having a blog helps me understand me better. And that is greatly great.
  2. Do any of your close ‘real’ friends blog? No. They have hard time even reading mine. XD
  3. Have you had any strange, embarrassing or frightening blogging experiences? So far no. Only not so pleasant ones. What I’m thinking about are the privacy issues: to limit visibility of my blog, or to block someone but I don’t think there is a way… Hopefully I won’t have to think about doing that. Actually, I just got a comment which is written like the cat on catnip wrote it… 😀
  4. If eating at a restaurant, what would be your favourite meal – with or without dessert? That depends on my mood really, I can eat anything not gross (Gross being normal in Japan)
  5. If money was no option, what would be your perfect holiday destination? The whole world!! Seriously, I am planning to see a lot of stuff…
  6. If money was no option, what would be your perfect evening’s entertainment? My favorite singer singing to me and my loved one at the roof of any famous building, or chatting away at Ellen’s place, or riding in a gondola at night while there are lanterns being released… Yeah I know… Amazing ideas! 😉
  7. What’s your favourite word? I have literally never thought of that. Hmmm… I have a word I use A LOT, I have that word for a while and then replace it with a new one. Right now, it is: “Pobogu” and it roughly translates into “For heaven’s sake.” 😀
  8. What quality do you think friends appreciate most in you? You have to ask them. 🙂
  9. What personality characteristic do you find the most off-putting or irritating in others? Being evil, rude, violent without apparent reason. Two-faced. Close-minded.
  10. How would you like to be remembered by those you care about? That is so morbid. I don’t want to think about that, but my guess would be; Not completely wasted dancing with some guy with his hands all over me while I scream woooo??

And there it is. Off we go bloggin’ 🙂

My Liebster Award (German for Dearest)

My Liebster Award (German for Dearest)

I have a case of fuzzy brain. That is what I call it. It’s when I have a strong headache for a day or two and then it gets better so I want to make up for everything that I have missed, resulting in big mess inside my head. I know I have read interesting posts, I have a loooot of accumulated ideas (what happens when I have to lay in bed with no technology)… But I don’t know what, where, how? Where to start when there is so much all of a sudden?

I didn’t forget about the award, don’t worry Justine… I just got sidetracked. 😉

So, yes, I got my first Liebster Award. Thank you so much. I am always blessed when presented with awards, but I have to be honest, I have seen others getting this award and I secretly wanted it. 😀 Now you know.
I got my award from Justine who blogs over at Eclectic Odds n Sods, which is not her only blog. I consider myself an organised woman, but she has and manages THREE blogs! That is beyond me… 🙂 Also, I like her idea of Friday Fiesta, which I have yet to join. I will, pinky promise.

Rules for the Liebster Award

1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog.

2. Link back to the blogger who awarded you.

3. Copy & Paste the award to your blog.

4. Nominate 5 blogs to receive the award who have less than 1000 followers.

5. Inform them of their nomination by leaving comment on their blog.

Ok, I did the first bunch. Now the nominations and questions. I have mixed questions from her and what she got. I tell you, I am trying. I am trying. 🙂

1. What was your favourite book as a kid?

It was “Ježeva kućica”, translate into “Hedgehog house”. We even had an audio tape I would listen over and over and over.

2. What is your favorite post you have written and why?

That is tough. I think of all my posts as my babies. 🙂 I love participating in Weekly Photo Challenges, I love sharing my crafts because I put so much work and effort into that, and I love my opinions in category column. I really don’t know. Recently maybe a poem i wrote for my birthday: https://ivymosquito.wordpress.com/2014/03/09/ivas-awesome-birthday-challenge-day-9/
3. Who is your celebrity crush?
Hihihihihihi. Channing Tatum. Maybe Ian Somerhalder. Oh, LL Coll J… Ok, I’m getting lost. 😀

4. Which country would you like to visit most and why?
Uhhhh… My heart wants to travel all over the Globe, but first – Italy.
5. Do you have a favourite comedian?
Yes. Ellen DeGeneres. Followed by Eddie Izzard, Jimmy Fallon, The Lonely Island guys… and so on. I love comedy, I love stand up and I enjoy watching talk shows with hosts being comedians. Also I went through a phase of adoring Dane Cook.
6. What was the last film you saw?
About Time.
7. If you were in a beauty pageant what would your “talent” be?
Dancing. 😎
8. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
To love myself and to consider time factor in my wishes. I tend to want all things at once and get impatient. So, thinking of a time variable as fluid and not set to the date is liberating.
9. What is your philosophy in life?
I think we grow entire life and like I am not the same person I was 5 years ago, I won’t be same person in five years. But thing I think that stays the same is – there is no other way than listening your heart, having a little more patience, surrounding myself with a little more positivity and kindness. Lots of love and communication. In kind places, beatiful roses grow.
10. If you came back in another life would you be a person or an animal or something else and what would it be?
I don’t want to come back. I want to stay me. But just for the fun of it, I would be a bird. With big wings, not those small birdies you feed on the corner. I would be something you see at dawn in a far away place and turns out blurry on your camera. 😉
11. Are you left or right-handed?
Leftie! And proud.

Ok, nominations. *Drum roll*

I nominate:

  1.  Misifusa from Presents of Presence. She is so kind and thoughtful, I enjoy in her blog and her comments. She has been there for me in a way only us two can understand. She is a cancer survivor and takes life so positive. She is a light and I love her.
  2. Shetall from Shetall says. One of the people I connected early on and hit off with so much similarity in opinions… She is also so kind to me, I do not forget that. She writes beautiful poetry and stories so magical I dare you to dive in. Simply amazing.
  3. GirlyChristina from Lifebeinggirly. She is a crafter and a positive person. We get each other since I am too. I love her new bussines and smile that awaits when you click on her blog.
  4. Alienaura on Alien Aura’s Blog: It’ll Blow Your Mind. Yes, it will. Alienaura writes with no self-censoring. We would say that she has no “dlake na jeziku” which means she literary she has no hair on her tongue haha, but figuratively that she writes what she wants and how she wants it. She isn’t here to please, she is here to make a statement. I find myself commenting on a lot on her posts, even though I am a relatively new follower of hers. I am like that in real life. I express my opinions very loudly. Since I don’t write about stuff that make my voice go louder, you will probably see that side of me maybe in few posts. But it is there, a dragon in disguise. 😉
  5. findingmyinnercourage from Findingmyinnercourage. She is a woman who is suffering from one of the invisible diseases, chronic pain. She is taking step by step in making her journey to more understanding of her condition, both for herself and people who read her blog, she is breaking the stigma and finding new ways to help herself. I say, keep up the positivity girl! You know you have a shoulder or two here on WP when you’re feeling low.
  6. And I’m breaking the rules with Rima Hasan. 🙂 She is a photographer (wow), a wedding photographer (wow wow). Since I enjoy in photos so much, she brings a delight to my eyes with her stunning work. Also, she blew my fringes off with her post “400 pound burden”. You will just have to check it out.

And now I realised all of my nominees/award winners are women. Power to the women! 🙂
I was limited with number of followers, there were a few more I would like to include but they have more than 1000 followers or I have already included them in my last award. But this is perfect the way it is.

Blog on!

❤ Ivy

Shine On Award

Thank you ❤

I Belong To Wonderland, I am blessed and honoured… I was not expecting to be accepting awards, I wanted to share and inspire… It brings tears to my eyes that you (and other readers) recognise that, that you read my blog and comment, showing constant support. I never expected to make new friends. Even if it is through the keyboard, it is amazing to me…

I will keep shining on, sending bright light everywhere it is welcomed. Thank you again.

p.s. I’m sorry I didn’t follow the rules but I have no new blogs I am reading, when I will have more than two or three I will update this.

Two awards and it’s not even Oscar time ;)

When I started this blog, awards were not even in my dreams… To be honest, I didn’t know much about WordPress and I was learning how to surf my way in this platform. (I still do.) I wasn’t aware of the awards. Later, I saw some of the bloggers were getting them, but again, it slipped from my thoughts. And then in a difference of few days, I get two. Second from Amelia from Mungai and the Goa Constrictor. THANK YOU so much. ☺ I am really happy that I inspired you, intrigued you and made you smile, because that is the reason why I’ve started blogging. If I didn’t have the desire that other people read my posts, it would be a journal. 😀

Since I wrote about seven amaaaazing blogs yesterday, I feel kinda silly to write about another ones today, so I’ll skip that rule and connect the two awards. You should check out the blogs I wrote about though. They are great. 🙂

So, I’m on to the rule of 7. Seven things about me. It was fun thinking about what 7 things I want to share today. Of we go…

1. I am a liar. I’ve changed my photo to me, yes, but I’ve cut my hair very similar to Beyoncé’s new haircut – but before Beyoncé. (!) So I think the number one thing is that Beyoncé is copying me. 😉 I am not blond, just to clear that out.

From http://www.mirror.co.uk

2. I am a leftie. Left-handed. You have probably already heard that people who write with left hand are more creative but lets see what else internet has to say about this:

Approximately 8–15% of the world’s population is left-handed.

– Wikipedia

Lefties seem to be over represented among geniuses. According to research done at St. Lawrence University in New York, there were more left-handed people with IQs over 140 than right-handed people. Considering that Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, and Benjamin Franklin were all lefties, it is hard to disagree with history.

Well, I won’t disagree. 😀 Also, I just found out that there is an International Left Handers’ Day celebrated on August 13… I don’t know where I have been living…

Although some cultures had a positive view of left-handers many considered them outcasts. There are many parts of the world where children are punished in school for using their left hand.

– The Chive

That is sad 😦 And true for generation before me.

From http://www.littleanswer.com

3. I am allergic to mosquitoes. – Hence the name of the blog. I was more allergic as a child and had bigger reactions but they are still my least favorite bug. Them and earwigs. Brrrrrrrrr. No picture here.

4. I am a firm believer that what you put out in the universe comes back. If you want to attract positive things, they will come, if you open yourself for a thing you want, it will come. Maybe not always and maybe not in a form you were expecting. I have been proven right on this so many times…

From http://www.wired.co.uk

5. My favorite candy is Ferrero Rocher… Oh…my…Gosh…. It is just… When I get it as a present, I don’t eat it. I cherish it. I eat one every few days, fully enjoying the taste. I have made my birthday wish clear, I want Ferrero cake.

From http://www.sendflowers.ua

6. I have rollerblades that don’t have a brake and I ride on them for years. And for years I have been escaping pretty unsafe situations. Now I look back and laugh at them but some of them could end up in a hospital, and once I was gambling with getting hit by a car. And still I haven’t bought brakes.

From freshmeatchronicles.blogspot.com

7. I didn’t know what to write for number seven so I asked my sister. She said: “You are wearing a poncho.” Yes I am. And I wear it at home AND outside. Go poncho!

From http://www.angelyarns.com

And now you know. 😉
