I love taking photos like this one… When I don’t have to do ANY editing whatsoever, none. 🙂
Also, I totally like the orange theme! It seems that I am surrounded with it since I saw it everywhere when I read this week’s theme for DPchallenge.
Enjoy in my gallery of “orange” while I go and eat one 😎
In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Orange you glad it’s photo challenge time?.”
With Valentine’s Day close I want to talk about it. OK, write about it. ☺
If you didn’t know that Valentine’s Day is this Saturday you probably haven’t open any online media or social network, they tend to go more and more hyper about this day as it approaches. I’m not gonna go in the “hate it or love it” debate, neither I’m gonna say that whether single or in a relationship you don’t need a day to appreciate people you love, and most definitely I won’t say that you as a person are so incredible and enough and whole even tho I mean it. Ops, I said it. 😉
I’m just gonna say something.
Valentine’s Day is like Santa for adults.
It’s made by companies to make us buy more
Lets be honest, if companies could make 10 more “holidays” just to sell specific items – they would do it! They would. Like in that song…
“What’s love gotta do with it, gotta do with it…”
Almost nothing. The thing that is good from it that it is a reminder not to take our loved ones for granted. And also, we all love getting stuff. I know I do. 😀
If you have zero balance on your account but still want to give something to your loved one(s), I will share the pillow I made for my friend’s baby girl. It was the first time I tried this specific sewing method so it turned out GREAT. You can use any fabric you want, as long as it is easy to sew… Oh, and you’re gonna need to cut open a few of your stuffed animals. You’re gonna feel sorry (At least I did) but it’s for the greater good. 😉
Finished! 🙂 The baby body next to it was the other part of my gift. I decoupaged the lines from my friend’s favorite show The Big Bang Theory. 🙂
Listen to your heart,
When it’s calling for you
Listen to your heart.
There’s nothing else you can do…
I don’t know where you going and I don’t know why
But listen to your heart…
Hey! This song is in my head since I woke up. Listen to yourself, if you do you will always get an honest answer. That is probably the reason we don’t listen but rather ignore, because there are some answers we don’t wanna hear.
Stay well, hi from semi-cloudy but still warm capital. ❤
Today’s Prompt is actually my secret wish, and no matter how much times I get big bouquet of flowers (usually roses, my favorite) I still love it and want more. The only thing better than that would be flowers in the bowl so they can grow not just blossom and die. Well that’s a buzz kill.
I really would like to receive them delivered, or they could magically appear while I was sleeping, or in a place i wouldn’t expect… I guess the wish is no secret now. 🙂 Also, the person I would like to get them from is no secret either. ❤
I’ve been following themes on Cee’s Foto Challenges lately, because I wanted to get involved. This week’s theme is at the moment perfect for me, since I really crave for snow and snow related activities but outside feels more like early, early, early spring. Well, I can wish right?
I took this photo last summer and I love the macro details.
And this is what I want now. Please? Thank you. 🙂
Ahh… Valentine’s Day…. Can you feel the love?? No? Me neither. 😀
It is the most confusing holiday by my opinion. When you’re single, you just straight up hate it. You diss about it and go on and on of how stupid it is. When you are in a relationship, it depends. I think Valentine’s Day puts a LOT of pressure on new couples… It feels like you just started dating and then one of you has a birthday and the other is just… What do I get? Do I buy anything at all? What does she/he even like? And so on… It is stupid for the other part too, trust me. I’m talking from my own experience. It makes it even harder that the Valentine’s Day is so UNORIGINAL that it hurts. It can be original if you want it to be, but we are bombarded with roses and flowers (Which btw. what? It’s still winter…) and teddy bears, and candy, and chocolate boxes… IT FEELS LIKE A LIFE IN A GIANT RED COMMERCIAL.
If you are in a long relationship or marriage, Valentine’s Day can be a nice reminder to stop and appreciate what you have and show affection for each other by spending some quality time together.
The sentence that caught my attention in this weeks Writing Challenge was:
“…It feels strange to be explicitly against a day celebrating love and commitment.”
That is true. We don’t like how it’s made into a PR form of “BUY=LOVE”. But how do we show attention and love for our loved ones? There are many ways, and some of them are buying them stuff that will make them happy. It’s a paradox.
Maybe we should just start thinking of a Valentine’s Day as a day in year when we show gratitude for having the people we love in our lives (partner, family, friends…) and show them that they mean something to us. That we love them. 🙂
I didn’t want to write a letter to my bf because – and yes I do get like this – I am afraid that if I put our love on spotlight it will get shy and run. Hahahahah, I know it doesn’t make much sense, but I never felt like this and I don’t like to talk about it so I don’t jinx it. 😀
So, he did something amazing. I asked him to write something and he agreed! I was very surprised because he is a man of doing not talking and esspecially not writing. 😀 But he did it, and it is needless to say I was touched and happy. I love you. ❤

I am again late with this one, but I guess it takes time for me to form an idea that is personally connected to the week’s theme, rather than just post some random photos. And that’s ok. 🙂
Why rose? Roses are my favorite flowers, the way they look, smell, colors… I really love them. Maybe that’s cheesy, but I always love to get a rose. I like other flowers, don’t get me wrong, but none of them are so dear to me like roses.
In this week photo I wanted to capture the contrast. Beautiful orange rose compared to a bit cruel weather conditions. Because really, the only reason the rose is alive is because she’s inside, well cared for. Outside is much too cold for her to even spread her layers of pedals, and in addition it was foggy last night when I took the picture. No way she would survive, but she is very much alive thanks to the fact she is nurtured. 😉 Like any human, she needs care and good environment in order to blossom. 😀
I have two other photos of roses very dear to me because they were gifts for special occasions. Enjoy. 😉
