The quote is from the movie La vita e bella (Life is beautiful). 🙂 I hope you all have heard about this masterpiece in film history. If you haven’t, wow, you really should check it out.
Daily Prompt asked me about a quote from my favorite movie and although I don’t just find one movie worth the title, this one immediately came into my mind. It is amazing, beautiful, funny, it makes you laugh and cry and everything in between…
The movie has so many incredible quotes but the thing I remembered first was this one. This scene is when Guido is trying to impress Dora by asking Mary (the catholic mother of Jesus) to throw the key of hers (Dora’s) heart. Guido of course knows that at that spot in the building above lives certain Maria who throws the key to her husband (or son) when he comes back home and yells; “Maria, la chiave!” The look on Dora’s face is priceless. 😀
Guido: “So, you were saying… The key that always makes you say yes has to come from heaven?”
Guido: “I’ll give it a try… If the Virgin Mary tosses it down to me, you never know. Mary, the key!!”
I have not forgotten that I have been kindly given two awards. 🙂 From Lauren from laurensaysitall and Yinglan from hiddenstarsfiction. Thank you girls! ❤ i don’t follow the rules, but it still means a lot to me. You are now on my Award list.
Year and a half ago I didn’t even think about having and actively writing a blog. It just happened. Literary. Just. Happened. Like it is so natural to suddenly have one, like a next step on a stairway, like a sun rising, like eating a third cookie when you are hungry and said you’re gonna have just one. 😉
So natural. It really is. It feels so natural for me to have this blog like it was never otherwise. (I can make a commercial out of this.)
I am saying a lot that a plant needs a time to grow, and change I am going through no matter how frustrating it gets from time to time, can not be forced or pushed forward. It has to go like a plant, in its own pace. I can water it and take care of it, but I can’t make it grow faster. That’s how I feel about this blog. It is in the right place at the right time. I have no idea where all of this writing will lead me, but I don’t stress about it. I know at first I wanted to inspire a lot of people, I wanted to reach out and try hard to share my new found inspiration and love for life. Now, I have learned a lot of things. I am learning all the time. About me, about others, about society… I have learned that it does not take a lot to reach out, that I don’t have to “try hard”. I can just BE. I found out that I am so happy when I receive a comment like “You made my day.” or “You inspired me.” from just one person, whom I know or whom I never met.
I still want to share and inspire. I see it like a wave of love and positive energy going and hugging the entire Globe. When I see my blog is read in parts of the world I don’t know how to pronounce it makes me proud and humble at the same time. I had chances to “go more aggressive” but I really don’t want GMO in my plant I am nurturing here. I hope you understand that and that it doesn’t sound cheesy. Heck, I don’t care if it sound cheesy, I love you for every amazing comment you leave here. You are awesome. We should like, I don’t know… Blog. 😉 ❤
I HAVE to share with you that somewhere in the process of my country crossing from 2014 to 2015 I woke up in 2015, logged on to see my wish came true. 500 of you! ❤ I felt so good! So blessed!
I look forward to global meditations on December 12 since I first joined one in 2012. They are always special and beautiful and it is amazing knowing that in the same time (it goes live) thousands and thousands people are listening to the same voice and imagining same things… 🙂 ❤
I used to meditate quite often, when I was attending yoga. I loved visualization we learned at yoga classes. But I have lost that habit, and also the habit of breathing through my stomach – which is this awesome thing you learn with practicing yoga and it helps you to be more relaxed in everyday life. So, I love this opportunities from Master Shift to join again. 🙂
If you love trying something awesome and just wanna relax, do tune in! Two meditation will be held as every year, for west and eastern hemisphere lasting 25 minutes.
And what do I do here on my blog? Share positivity and celebrate creativity as much as I can. 🙂 So I decided to share with you two videos that got me recently. One got me laughing and another speachless. You guess which one did what. 😉
I wanted to do a video-marathon today of some of the videos I have watched recently. Thank you Spiritbath and thank you internet. There are good, kind and amazing people on this planet we call our own, and they (we) are trying to make a positive change and think with their own head. I love it! I hope you will find something for you… 🙂
I want to inspire you, make you happy, make you smile and just boost your mood. I hope I can. 😀 I chose famous Charlie Chaplin’s speech for featured video because it is the king and queen of inspiration. It is the main thought of what the people on other videos are showing and trying to achieve.
I have come across this challenge a while ago and bookmarked it because I knew I wanted to feature it on my blog.
It is called 100happydays and it’s basically submitting a picture what made you happy every day for 100 days in a row. It could be anything… From photos of your beloved ones, friends, favorite coffee place, food, nice view, lovely bench in a park… Anything. 🙂
I love the idea, although I must admit that the term 100 frightens me. It is a challenge indeed. Maybe I will decide to join… That is one more awesome thing about it! You can join whenever you want!
If you are undecided like me, you can also help by translating their front page into your own language and submitting. I did that just now in Croatian.
One paragraph I particularly liked. It said: “If you try to please / make others jealous via your pictures – you lose without even starting.” It is YOUR challenge and YOUR attempt in making yourself happier person with more optimistic view on life and just stopping to appreciate. Even for that moment when you take the picture. 🙂
