This is a quote from Game of Thrones, just fyi. 😉
Summer is gone but however short, it is not forgotten.
While I am waiting for the first snow here (yaaay) I can’t forget summer. Every season has its beauty but summer is the most beautiful to me. 🙂 Although I am pretty pumped up about winter and snow, Christmas, New Year…. AND I do feel veeery excited about spring because my birthday is then and everything is waking up. OK, I love every season (except autumn, cough) and I do like the exchange of them but as soon as I checked out Weekly Photo Challenge I remembered summer. Fine. First thought I had is that I don’t share nearly as enough of my photography here. 😉
This is summer to me this year. Sitting in the grass, enjoying the sun, inhaling the smell of the fresh cut grass mixed with cherry flowers and looking at bright blue sky. ❤
Daily Prompt: You’re asked to recite a poem (or song lyrics) from memory — what’s the first one that comes to mind? Does it have a special meaning, or is there another reason it has stayed, intact, in your mind?
As everyone who has been to my blog to stay (hi guys/girls ❤ ) knows… I have song in my head almost all the time. Sometimes it is for no reason, but sometimes like today, it has some meaning.
It was sunny outside and I had to go out for a bit. As soon as I came back home, the sun hid behind the clouds and it’s not coming back. So, I’m the “she” and I “have been away” from outside a lot in the past month. Again, my beloved readers will know why. 🙂 There is so much meaning in this song I am singing for the last hour.
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
It’s not warm when she’s away.
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
And she’s always gone too long
Anytime she goes away…
It is Halloween! 🙂
Since I won’t be doing anything related this year, it is reblog time! I was really pumped up about it last two years because it didn’t really catch on here as a “holiday” up until last few years… So, I carved pumpkins. And I planned costume and went to Halloween parties, but I am yet to be something scary for Halloween. I went as Audrey Hepburn, maybe that’s scary for someone. 😉
I had no blog then, but I did last year (it was 4 months old awwww) so I posted about it. Enjoy 🙂
Hi! I am in such a rush that I only have time to upload few pictures of a pumpkin I carved. 😀 I will do a detailed post when I catch the time, hopefully on Saturday… 🙂
Stay well and have a great time tonight! 🙂
Hello y’all! 😀 I finally found the time to finish this post…
A week later… beter than never. 😉
So… I’ll explain what I did:
First I sketch the outline of mine carving of choice – cat silhouette. Then I realised that I have placed it to high, erase everything with sponge and sketch again. 😀 Second thing to do is the most annoying… Taking out the inside of the pumpkin. I have no proper tools, so I used knife and spoon, and later on smaller knife for carving. After about an hour my pumpkin was ready for carving. Despite…

Greetings fellow bloggers!
I’m enjoying in my drink, soaking up the sun on the balcony… But, it’s not just any drink – it’s aronia berries. Frozen since that is all I got, but still great. To check out just how awesome aronia is, google the health effects it has. It is ah-mazing. 🙂
I blend berries with some concentrated juice, water and that’s it. Have a great day!
Listen to your heart,
When it’s calling for you
Listen to your heart.
There’s nothing else you can do…
I don’t know where you going and I don’t know why
But listen to your heart…
Hey! This song is in my head since I woke up. Listen to yourself, if you do you will always get an honest answer. That is probably the reason we don’t listen but rather ignore, because there are some answers we don’t wanna hear.
Stay well, hi from semi-cloudy but still warm capital. ❤
I have this WP app on my phone almost since I opened my blog and it has been awesome to write my drafts when I’m not around computer, but in the last weeks my mobile became the only screen I can look at. I am getting more into it to see what I can do… It is not the same of course, I can’t post some of the stuff that I had in mind, and I can’t put my logo on the photos, or tags and categories – I think, but it’ll make my blog blues dissapear 🙂
Remember how I was sad about summer not being sunny and warm? We are having some late warm and sunny weather here and it is beautiful, I am really enjoying in it hehe, even if it’s from my bed.
I have so much ideas to share with you, from my ponderings, photographs I made, interior design DIY’s, even fashion stuff and ootd (“outfit of the day”), projects that require more energy and are waiting for me in my folders… Oh yes, I have made a peach pie that I can’t wait to share recipe for, and something I won’t give away because it was so new for me… Now you can see why I can’t wait to be back and editing, but I will take all the time I need and explore this app more. 😉
I am getting all your comments-love and it makes me smile seeing all those dear names 🙂
Hi! 🙂 Welcome to all new readers. ❤ Have a seat, make yourself comfortable and enjoy. Ask if anything interest you, comment if it doesn’t. 😉
I actually had to do a little bit of research for this week’s Photo Challenge. I spotted this “La bohème” house in the center of a small city near Zagreb. It immediately caught my attention. When I read the theme of Challenge – Fray, I had to ask myself a few questions.
First of all, and I am not ashamed to admit it, I had to Google meaning of “Fray”. And then I had to Google some more… And when I thought I got it, some of the entries confused me, so… I Googled some more. 😀 If I got this terribly wrong, you know who to blame. 😉
Fray; conflict, clash, wear out.
That’s when I remembered the house I took photo of last week. I thought the sign “La bohème” was so strange to be placed there and yet it is so perfect. It is in Dugo Selo, on the main road. It is obvious that something was there, a shop maybe? Now, there is nothing and on the right side you can see the coffee place. On the left side however there seems to be some kind of private entrance. I have no idea, I wish I payed more attention to it when I was there, to check out what is the deal with this house. Bohemian house. 🙂
I did a research on the phrase “La bohème”. I knew roughly what it meant and that it was French, but here is the complete explanation; A four-act opera by Giacomo Puccini, detailing the life of eight friends living in Paris in 1830-1831 under the struggle of poverty.
Bohemian on the other hand is; A person with artistic or literary interests who disregards conventional standards of behavior.
I knew that one. The only question is, why is that here? Is it a tribute for the opera in the middle of a small city whose name literary means “Long Village”? Highly doubt it.
I think it is a imprint of times gone by, was there a shop or something else. Now it is just a sign which meaning suits the tenement house so well.
The other thing that says “Fray” to me is this photo. I took it in the park of nature Maksimir (which translates into “Maxi peace”) in Zagreb, by the 4th and 5th lake. It is actually this hill that divides the lakes who are divided only on the ground. Underground the water flows from one lake to other. Very lovely sight if I may add. 🙂 I will post some photos soon, it was cloudy the day I took photos and perfect to capture the color of the lakes.
Today’s Prompt is actually my secret wish, and no matter how much times I get big bouquet of flowers (usually roses, my favorite) I still love it and want more. The only thing better than that would be flowers in the bowl so they can grow not just blossom and die. Well that’s a buzz kill.
I really would like to receive them delivered, or they could magically appear while I was sleeping, or in a place i wouldn’t expect… I guess the wish is no secret now. 🙂 Also, the person I would like to get them from is no secret either. ❤
DP: After an especially long and exhausting drive or flight, a grueling week at work, or a mind-numbing exam period — what’s the one thing you do to feel human again?
And pamper myself 😀
