About me…

Hi! I am a 26 28 yo woman living in Croatia. I’m strong and emotional, smart yet so many times doubtful (Why? Don’t know), I am a dreamer and a star-gazer. I am stubborn and I like finding my own way of doing something. I like freedom of expression. I am all this and so much more and this is my place on internet. Welcome.

Brown hair, brown eyes, big smile 🙂

I love nature (proof above) ;), animals, photography and making “do it yourself” items. I am very creative and this blog helps me express that. Thank you blog, you are very kind.

It makes me happy when you comment and share your point of view, so I encourage you to do so. Also, I love to meet people from all around the world – that is the reason why this blog is on English and not Croatian, so more people can connect with me and read my posts. At the same time it is a risk because my Croatian friends get discouraged to read it but, hey, I’m challenging them! Ha!

I believe in one truth: We grow and learn entire life. Love yourself and let your true colors shine through… Let yourself be YOU and proud about it. Be the person who you are meant to be, not who you think you should be. (That’s a hard one, I know.)

Like in that song: “If it makes you happy, it can’t be that bad…” (in legal frame, of course 😀 )

Love, Ivy

      1. Definitely! You will be like celebrity. They love to visit for some reason, maybe bc we don’t have the type of paparazzi you do and one can really find privacy. And it is really beautiful, not being biased. 🙂

    1. Hi! 🙂 You’re welcome, I love to follow new interesting bloggers. If it doesn’t intrigue me I won’t follow. 😉 I hope you will enjoy here, make yourself at home, browse with Bob the turtle (random post generator) and answer “About you” if you wish 😀

  1. I am happy to be here on your blog. I have read about you and I like what you say about yourself and your likes. It is a wonderful thing to connect with people around the world. That is a very good spirit. That is also my desire. That is why I am connecting with you. Thanks for embracing other people. May your light continue to shine!

    1. Thanks 🙂 I wonder why is it so hard to just love ourselves. Like we love our families, friends, people who are dear to us. Why do we have to “learn” to love ourselves and accept ourselves, like someone taught us that loving goes one way and we are excluded from it. It keeps me thinking.

    1. Hey! Thank you, I myself also have been a bit of stranger here on my blog, and on others I follow :/
You did brighten my day because I am waiting to resolve something tomorrow and this waiting thing is killing me! I can’t wait tomorrow evening to be done with it 😀
I have two awards that I have ignored for no other reason than not being here almost at all, so this is a good reminder… Congratz on your award also! I will check everything out, maybe even follow the rules this time… 😀
      How are you?

      1. You’re welcome, Ivy and thank you. I know exactly what you mean about awards: it does take me a long time to write up the posts and I tend to postpone for quite a while, mainly because there are always so many other things that take priority. So don’t worry about it. If you get the time, that’s great, but if you find yourself swamped with other projects, that’s ok too: the award is yours in any case.
Regarding the rest: Things are busy, but generally good. Trying to inject some humour into my daily existence. 🙂
Hope that whatever you are waiting to resolve will be indeed resolved. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. x

      2. Yeah, we get each other, as any blogger probably 🙂
I will get to it, I will do some mash up of all the awards hehe… Thank you for crossing fingers, it did resolve and I can breathe easier 🙂

Oh, I understand you fully. I’m trying the same, maybe for different reasons, but also…. Just seeking for positive boost, positive conversations, positive people, random funny topics, laughing… Funny videos… All of it 😀
I deeply recommend Jimmy Fallon and dancing silly 😉

    2. I did it, I forgot to tell you. It’s the post titled “No I’m not lucky, I’m blessed, yes” check it out, i know you’ll laugh at one sentence 😉

  2. Hey Ivy! My name is Cameron Von St. James and I had a quick question for you & was wondering if you could please email me when you have a free moment. Thanks! I really hope to hear from you soon and appreciate you taking the time. ☺ cvonstjames AT gmail DOT com

Thank you for stopping by my blog and I’m very glad I checked yours out. I love what your doing with your blog. Very beautiful and heartwarming. And I may have to try the desert you posted. It looked yummy

    1. Thank you so much 😀 I am happy you enjoy my blog as I did in your. 🙂 First i was like, desert, what desert? (Meaning place with a lot of sand and with little water) But then I got it. 🙂

    2. And yeah, I saw you liked the shout out I am doing… If you think you have a photo to fit and are entusiastic about it, please do link. 🙂 I have no time to go through all of your photos unfortunatelly.

    1. Thank you for complimenting the blogy 🙂
Yeah, as you can see I didn’t wrote anything else, it got me – with other things – into an emotional roller coster and I need a break. :/

  4. Just a suggestion:
Go to Settings>Sharing, and select the checkbox – Front Page, Archive Pages, and Search Results
Now if someone visits your blog, he/she may like the post without opening the post separately. It will help you get more likes on the blog.regards.

  5. Hi! Nice to meet you:) Like you I write in english instead of Swedish just to get able to connect with others all around the world. Sharing is awesome. I love photography like you and it is really great to be able to see a lot of the world through others cameras.

    1. Hi 🙂 Yeah, I get you because that was my dillema too.. I will check out your photography as soon as i can, I love to see other work as well. Even though I am an amateur, I love it and share it. 🙂

If you want you can answer my questions About you?, I like to get to know other bloggers 🙂

  6. You have a wonderful attitude. Thank you for following my blog “Musings of a Horse Mom” and the for the reblog of “Waking Up Is Hard To Do.” I wish you well on your journey through life. Keep smiling and nurture what you love … Dorothy 🙂

    1. Thank you for the follow back. Through reading your thoughts I found out we have a lot in common and I love to surround myself with people who nurture positive attitude and understand why it is important – not to ignore the rest, but to understand what is really important. Thank you so much for the wishes I wish you the same… Well, we’ll be reading about it 😉
Very pleased to meet you. 🙂

    1. Thank you 🙂 It was taken last summer (late summer) while I still had loooong hair. 🙂
Hmmmm, now I can’t tell you something. I have made the post for the awards, who will get it? Maybe you? I don’t know, I won’t tell. 😀

    1. Awwww thank you ❤ I haven't received the Sunshine Award yet… 🙂 I have got few others awards so I'll think I will do a post for all of them together if that is ok?

      1. Lydia Devadason

You’re welcome and of course! And good luck with that, I just did mine and it took days lol 😉

  7. Shayne

Thank you for stopping by! I’m finding you to be absolutely charming and hilarious! I’m looking forward to reading your insights. I’m sure you keep everyone quite entertained!

  8. Wow, I really like your about page, Ivy. And I have to say I´m impressed at your choice to blog in English over your mother tongue; I wouldn´t have known from reading it that your not a native speaker! I look forward to delving more deeply into your blog at the weekend – it looks to be my cup of tea: creative and original. Very beautiful. Keep up the lovely work! Giana.

    1. You are making me blush! ^^’ Hahahahah
Thank you for great compliments about my use of English…I have made a post or two about it, maybe in a category Column, how I challenged myself because I am fluid in English but I felt that my knowledge of writing is going down. So, I decided like that. And also, I want to reach as many people I can, not limiting my possible readers and new connections 🙂

You should have seen when I started, I had so many errors in writing when I checked grammar in Dashboard and then suddenly came the day where there popped out a message “No errors.” 😀 I still have errors but less and less, I am writing this as I’m thinking, it just flows..

Well if you like creative, let me grab a tea also, lay (or should I say sit) back and enjoy surfing. 🙂

    1. Nice to meet you to 🙂 I was searching for a bloger that I have promissed to be a guest but can’t find the comment anywhere… I hope she will find me… So, I was going through my history and I saw your blog and I quickly followed. No blog that interest me will pass me by, no more! 😀

  9. Hey Ivy, Such a beautiful name…and introduction you got there.
Its really nice to meet you. You have a great blog. Thank you for visiting my blog because It made me find yours. Hope to see you more often 🙂

    1. That is so nice of you 🙂 Thank you, my real name is Iva, but Ivy is kinda close to it in English 😉 But, with pronounciacion it is Eva so I don’t know why Ivy… Maybe because it’s my nickname here also…
Looking forward to reading your blog…Nice to meet you! 😀

  10. Thanks very much for the recent visit to/follow of my blog. It led me here and I’ve really enjoyed reading your recent entries. Great stuff and I look forward to more.

  11. Just stumbled upon your blog, and I love how there is so much positivity here! I so agree that we grown and learn all throughout life. We’re all people, and we all have our differences living in different parts of the world, so of course we can find something interesting about the other and learn from them.

And as the previous commentor has said, your sunrise header is stunning. Love it 🙂

    1. Thank you! 😀 I love meeting other bloggers, esspecially the ones who share positivity like you do!

Yes, I think we all think we are alone in something and yet, we have no idea how many people feel exactly the same… We are all human, and when we reach out and share, then we see how alike we are and that is awesome to me… 🙂 I try to get the positive out of life because well negativity really doesn’t lead anywhere, just to more negativity, and that sucks. 😕 Sometimes I have to try harder sometimes it comes easy – like when I get on my blog and find a beautiful comment 😉

      1. Glad to have met you too. Definitely agree that if we try harder, eventually things will fall into place and things will turn out okay. So many happy faces in your beautiful comment – you’re such a positive person and looking forward to more posts from you 🙂

  12. Hiiiiiiii!!!! I lllloooovveee this ‘about’. You’re such a wonderful young woman, so energic and yeaa, creative!
Same like you, I also love to make some new friend from all around the world. About my indonesian blogger firend, I also have a blog in bahasa indonesia 😉
Noce to know you, Ivyon. And you have a beautiul header, tell me, is it sunset or sunrise?

    1. Oh your comment is so beautiful, it made me feel awesome about myself! 😀 Thank you 🙂

It is a sunrise, I was photographing from my balcony, I have a lot of photos from that sunrise, including the birds waking up, but I put it into my “Everything” folder where they wait for their spotlight haha 😉

Nice to meet you and welcome! When you’ll have the time feel free to answer the questions on “About you?” I just made that page.

      1. That is ok, if you wish I can delete the comment above. 🙂 Thank you for the award, I accept them, especially when they are thoughtful and kind as yours is. I am honored and will look into the rules… Thank you once again and have a wonderful day… Naaah, have a wonderful week! 😀

      2. I am flattered, why wouldn’t I accept it? 🙂 Thank you, now I’m thinking about 7 things to list about me, it’s going to be fun 😀

    1. Thank you so much! One of the things that made me start blogging is writing in English, because I was feeling that I am great at talking and understanding but my writing skills started to fade… So, I took that as a challenge to keep my knowledge active. 😀 (And also I want a lot of people to understand me.)

At first I couldn’t form a sentence under a minute, then I would get about 5-6 grammar errors on check-up – with the help of Google translate, and then it happened. No errors on one post, and much less in general. You can check out my ranting about this topic: https://ivymosquito.wordpress.com/2014/01/21/funny/

I have a plan to improve my knowledge of Italian and I did learned German for 8 years – in school, but I’m just a hopeless case for that one 😀

Talk to me...
