I haven’t been spending time (or money) on clothes or jewelry this past months… I had in mind exactly what I will put as my “catch” because I wore this summer hat a lot. More like a fashion piece than to protect me from hot summer weather, which was pretty much non-existent. The temperatures were about 25 Celsius, and few days (maybe weeks) app. 30 degrees. That is hardly a hot summer, that is – I don’t have to wear my jacket in the evening – summer.

But enough of me complaining about summer. I will probably do that some more in my upcoming posts. 😀

This kind of Michael Jackson summer edition hat I really wanted this summer, and found it in a big food chain store under few items they have as “Clothing”. It was 60 kunas, which is exactly 10, 36 dollars. My experience is, keep your eyes open and shop relaxed and you never know where you’re gonna find your desired item.

If you saw me in he last two months and it was sunny, the chances are, I had this baby on my head. 😉

p.s. Do you see the resemblance? Summer in The City  Hehe, I have the exact sunglasses also.

Catch of The Month | June ?

I have ordered this two skirts way back, but they were delivered in June… I can call this “Getting ready for the summer”, even though it is raining outside and I am sitting here with long sleeves on.

Ok, I will do a little bit of reviewing this skirts, since you really don’t know whatcha buying until it gets here.
I am positively surprised with the short one with heart pattern, because I have won it on an auction and I think it was 5 dollars, something close. I had no idea (because it is not specified in the description) that the skirt has shorts under layer. You can imagine my face when I put it on for the first time haha… 😀

For the green one, I knew I wanted something green, on the scale to emerald shade and I got my eye on this one. Costed about 10 dollars – pretty much the most expensive thing I have bought on e-Bay in 4 years I am there. It is good, but I did a lot of calculating and decided that I will order n L size they had. I am an UK M or medium size, but having always been S or small it is hard for me to make that mental shift. I love my M, but Asian measures are extra small. The shirt fits me excellent, but I wanted something more loose… I think I will make some remakes. 🙂

You can see my obsession with emerald shade of green this summer even on the nail-polish. I love it. It was about 2 dollars.

Ooooops. 😀

I forgot.

Well, I didn’t buy anything really worth mentioning… I did acquire something for my future DIY project (yaaay) and I remade a dress which is not quite over… It is all going to be featured here when it is done and when I find the time to photograph it, edit the photographs, create a post with which I am satisfied…. So, not so soon. 😀 Plus, I have a major thing I am working on and that will be up soon, so I need to focus on that.

Instead of “The catch” I’m gonna do an honest review. Yap.

I have a very thick and normal/oily hair which can be waterless and look all chapped if I don’t use creme from Nivea I found to work awesome for this problem, but always full on volume. Like, I can’t see my face – type of volume. And this winter my hair started to feel bleh, without volume and my scalp became veeery dry. And I got dandruff. I thought it was the dry air in winter, but it continued after… I am not the person who needs 6 types of shampoo, hair-conditioners and serum just to get on with my day, but I take care of my hair. Ok, I could admit not so much right now, but that is because I am in process of waiting for complete hair-over, stuff I do to my hair every once in a while. I have dyed my hair in every color that fits my skin tone and had every haircut from extra long, to pixie short. I have had my natural color for a while now and I want some change. 🙂 Anyway, back to the problem. Scalp. Pieces of skin were falling off, not just “normal” dandruff and I thought… “Oh-oh.” And went on a quest to find a solution. (I just went to the store and bought shampoo but this makes it sound more important.)

Honest review: It doesn’t smell to my preference but if it does the job I don’t care. When I first started using it I was ecstatic, dandruff 99% gone from first use! And volume back. But now, few weeks later, I feel like it is coming back. I’ll see, i hope it stays like this because it really did help me. Price is also a plus, it was I think 24 kunas, that is… less than 5 dollars. I need stronger shampoo but not too strong, so choosing a new one is not easy for me. When I found the one that does everything I want him to do, I stick with it. For years.

Catch of the month | March

I really didn’t feel like doing this today. I’m in a bad mood for a fucking good reason. Hope everything sorts out.

But. It is the last day of March so here it fucking goes.

I’ve wanted this type of shorts/skirt dark blue with dots (stars) since last year, and I finally found it. Second-hand. I paid 25 kunas for it (4,50 $) but it is to big so I will have to do a little re-do with a sewing machine. No problem.
The shirt is sleeveless and I loooove the material. That was less than a dollar in a sale in textile house.

Catch of the month | February

Yes, I am aware that it is 13th of March. 😛 February is such a short month anyway…

Fine. I forgot about it. Happy? 🙂

But I did bought this in February. In da textile house – the one that has brutal discounts every 5 or 6 weeks. So, that means that I spent 10 kunas on items on the photo (5 kuna each). That is a little bit less than 2 dollars. Pretty good, eh?

I love the grey lately… Not 50 Shades of it ( haven’t read the book – not planning to :D), but the grey grey… This skirt/tunic had me rigth away, the material is so light and elegant, so beautiful to wear. Very silky on the touch. Ok, now I will have to look at the material because I feel silly explaining like this. 😉 The scarf is actually a big piece of fabric folded and sewed together. Love the print, love the idea. I might try it on my own.

I can see myself in this already. My mind is telling me to go all grey with grey leggings, but I’ll see… This is probably the only reason I will get over the fact that we had a week of snow this year ( A WEEK!!) and enjoy in upcoming spring, because I will be able to wear pieces like this.

Catch of the month | January

It’s that time of the month again…. Time fooooor…. CATCH (catch…catch…) OF (of…of…) THE (the…the…) MONTH (month…month…) ! 😀

You know from my posts that I love to buy second-hand clothes and accessorizes, I buy in outlets and textile houses and always search for a piece of clothes or fabric that I can use in my DIY projects.

But, I also buy in stores (duuuh 😀 ). I am the type of person who likes to walk into store and look around but when I actually go shopping, I’m like a woman on a mission. I know what I want, I know how much I’m prepared to spend for it and when I found it I immediately buy it or reserve it till the next day.

That is the case with this super rocker / a bit cowboy boots (heel). I knew that I wanted something like this for winter and I also want something I will be able to wear when I go horse riding. By that I mean, LEARNING how to get up on a horse. Riding horses is my wish and I hope it will come true this year – I am certainly making steps, like buying this boots. 😉

They were on sale, from 250kn to 139kn. That is from about 45 $ to about 25 $.

They have also inspired my Leather winter and I am planning to buy a black eco-leather skirt so I think they will match “savršeno”. That means perfect. Š is pronounced like sh. I have to explain because I know you care hahahaha 😀

Catch of the month | December ❅

This is definitely catch of… winter. One of. This sweater is brown (ish), warm and huuuuge ( Fashion term: oversized ). It is XL I think, maybe even XXL, and I’m smaller M. I drown in it and I love it. ♥

I feel so safe in it, I wear it at home almost all the time and even when I go somewhere casual. It’s really warm and cosy.

I bought it at a textile house sale, so it’s like I’ve bought something already on sale – on sale. 🙂 It was less than a dollar. When I was trying it on my mum told me “You’re not really gonna buy this?” So that was another sign to buy it hahahah. 😀

Since they have announced a lot of snow and low temperatures coming in central Europe, I think I’m gonna wear it a lot. My bf told me that he’s going to buy me a blanket with sleeves. I’m waiting. 😀

Catch of the month: November

Catch of this month is definitely this big, amazing brown bag with millions of pockets. 😉

It is really THE catch of the year I would say, because it is the prettiest bag I have ever own in my life. 😀 When it comes about bags like this, I just look at them through window shop because they usually cost like a small pony.

But this one I bought secondhand from a lady for…… Prepare yourself…….. 10 kunas!!!!!! That is less than 2 $!!! Unbelievable…. I am still amazed. 🙂

Catch of the month: October

So…. Yes, I AM aware that it is mid-November 😀 I think I’m gonna have to make myself reminders for this category… 😉

I wanted to say something about it also, because I noticed a lot of similar stuff going on on internet (blogs, YouTube, FB etc.). I want to explain why I have this category. It is not a review of nothing, which fashion bloggers do with cosmetics for example, and it is most certainly NOT me bragging – “oh, look what I bought last month” 😕 Coz that’s just plain stupid for me.

I do it because I want to show everyone that you CAN get well dressed and make yourself happy in shopping even if you have a very limited budget. I am very proud in finding sales and good bargains, that is something I am proud of…not ashamed. So, I want my readers to be proud to. It’s awesome if you have all the money you need to buy everything you want, but most likely that is far from truth. So, don’t you think you should be ashamed, not for one minute. Or be sad because you can’t buy Prada or Gucci or Whatever-brand. Names are just names, put YOUR name on your clothes and jewelry through your unique style! And show it off like it’s Dolce Gabbana because the names have the power we give them.

You’re a star. OWN IT! 🙂

A little about October items – sister bought me this skirt and palestinian scarf, both in textile house for 10 kunas (about 2 $) because she knows I love palestinian scarfs and this kind of skirts. And the lightning necklace I bought on e-bay for 1.05$. I’m gonna explain my obsession with lightnings maybe another post. Or maybe I already did, in Do I like fall…at all.
